TMI sponsor Island Games 2023

The long awaited International Island Games returned on 8th July in Guernsey after a two-year hiatus. It was an incredible weeklong event, which saw athletes from 24 islands across the world come together to compete in a whole range of sports.  

Thomas Miller Investment take great pride in supporting and contributing to the community around us and this year leant their support through the sponsorship of the Isle of Man Golf Teams.  

David Kinrade, men's team captain and manager, tells us more about how both teams got on at the Games: 

"The TMI sponsored Isle of Man golf teams took to the links at Royal Guernsey Golf Club at the recent Island Games, in very testing conditions with 20 to 30 mph winds on a tight course the players applied themselves magnificently.  

The women’s team, Lea Dawson, Kayleigh Dawson, Lynda Simpson and Emma Noon ably captained by Shirley Price, were desperately unlucky to miss a bronze medal, being caught on the last day; they gave their all and can be proud and now more determined for 2025 in Orkney to come back with a medal. 

The men’s team of Darryl Callister, Liam Cowin, Rob Noon and Jamie Arneil fought to the bitter end and with the last scores to come in looked to be heading for the same fate as the ladies, but gritted determination and application was to see them snatch the bronze medal at the very end.
